There is so much to do and see in the Cairngorm National Park and around Aviemore in the Spey Valley. Activities include skiing, stunning walks around An Lochan Uaine and Loch an Eilein, hill walking in the Cairngorms, mountain biking, pony trekking, quad biking around Rothiemurchus, water sports on Loch Morlich, ziplining at the Alvie Estate, golfing at the championship Spey Valley course, and wildlife watching for red squirrels, capercaillie, pine martens, wildcats, ospreys and golden eagles.

For the kids, Landmark in Carrbridge is a great way to spend the day with water slides and tree top adventure courses, or a trip on the steam train to Boat of Garten for another day out.

Aviemore has a range of outdoor shops including Tiso, Blacks, Nevis Sport and Ellis Brigham, along with a wide choice of restaurants, pubs and takeaways. Rothiemurchus Farm Shop has a large variety of local produce and is a must visit, and it's best to book activities and restaurants in advance of your visit.
